The Tide Mills Project Heritage Celebration Week is a culmination of a community project that will see the lost village of Tide Mills come to life. Even though this will be a popular local event, we also cannot ignore the fact that we are currently in the midst of a global pandemic, which has had a massive impact on society. We have already delayed our event by one year in response to the initial COVID-19 UK lockdown and we have decided that we will do all we can to not move the project again. With this in mind, we have created a COVID-19 Policy, based on a Four Stage Plan that we created earlier in the year.
The UK completed Stage 4 of the Roadmap to Recovery in July 2021, which reduced the mandate for Social Distancing and Mask Wearing, however it is still recommended to encourage the use of safety precautions especially around those who are not yet fully vaccinated. The current Government guidelines focus on encouragement of policies and not enforcement, meaning that we will be releasing our policy and encouraging it’s implantation but we will not impose restrictions on those who choose not to take precautions.
Our Policy is as follows:
Mask Wearing – As this is an outdoor event then the wearing of masks will be optional. However, LYT Productions recommend that masks be worn in areas where social-distancing is not possible (e.g. the toilet block)
- NHS COVID-19 Check in – Attendees and Crew are encouraged to scan the NHS COVID-19 QR Code in order to check in on the site. If this is not possible for technological reasons then crew may check in with Site Management and attendees may check in at the Tour Check in desk.
- Testing – We kindly ask that all persons attending the event (Crew and Attendees) and are over the age of 11, to take a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) up to 48 hours before their arrival to the event. If this test shows a negative result and it is properly registered then the NHS COVID-19 App will be able to generate an event pass. Alternatively an event pass can be generated if you have received your second vaccination within the last six months. We kindly ask that all persons generate this event pass to prove a negative result. This policy is in place, regardless of vaccination status. However, unless we are otherwise instructed to do so by the central government or local Public Health, we will not request to see proof of an Event Pass as a condition of entry. It is really important that you take a test and report the results online or via the NHS app. Even if you are fully vaccinated, it is possible to contract the virus and you may also be symptomless.
- Sanitising – Enhanced cleaning procedures will be in place for all high-touch points. Tickets will be available to show on a mobile device.. Hand Sanitisers will be available throughout the site at high touch areas, for use by all.
- Symptoms – If anybody experiences the symptoms of COVID-19 then they are to immediately go home (or remain home), book a PCR Test via the NHS 119 website and follow the NHS Guidelines. If they take the PCR test and it returns a negative result, then they will able to rejoin our Heritage Celebration Week at Tide Mills.
